| Corky's is the closest you will get to Competition Ribs. Their cooking process is similar, as is the time invested in their product. I recommend Corky's to out-of-towners looking for Memphis Ribs. While I know Rendevous has a reputation for GREAT RIBS: I do NOT EVER recommend a visit to Rendevous for Memphis Barbecue, especially for their ribs. I know their process. I am a MIM and KCBS Certified Judge and my personal preference is NOT Rendevous. This a personal opinion and my personal choice. Some folks think Rendevous is superb; the last time I checked we have "freedom of choice". Try both and choose for yourself. I am spoiled! NoBODY does Ribs like those Cookers who drag out of the sack at 4:00am and put their ribs on...and have them ready for Judging about 1:00pm. |
